In September 2020 I downloaded and plotted some 2019 population data from the website of the National Statistical Office of Thailand. Here is the link where I downloaded the data, and this is the data I downloaded. Clicking on the link now gives population data for 2021 and 2022 in a similar format. It is not in identical format, so the R code I wrote back in 2020 will need some modifications to work on the newer data.
Back in 2020 I was shocked by the declining birth rate visible in the taper at the bottom of the pyramid.
I had a look at age distributions by province...
...and plotted population pyramids for some of the outlier provinces.
